Mental Health
First Aid (MHFA)

Canadian statistics show that one in five Canadians will experience a mental health problem this year.  MHFA is an interactive workshop that teaches participants to recognize the signs that a person may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis and how to provide initial help and guide the person to appropriate professional resources.

Teaching Initiatives – Post Secondary Institutions 

Education and learning is never far from my mind; hence I still do contract teaching across Canada, in face-to-face, hybrid and online delivery modes. You can find me on various campuses depending on the term and the program requirements.

 

What I’ve come to know is that in life, it’s not always the questions we ask, but rather our ability to hear the answers that truly enriches our understanding. Never, never stop learning.

ABOUT NYCOLE

Nycole Harding is an EMCA graduate with an Honours Bachelor of Education in Adult Education from Brock University, a Master’s Degree in Learning and Technology from Royal Roads University, a Mental Health First Aid Instructor with the Mental Health Commission of Canada, and has methodologies in crisis and crisis intervention as well as other useful tools to share.
